A delicious and surprising idea :Originating from Alexandre Nau’s imagination, young heir of a small company which sold violets crystallized in sugar by a Provencal craftsman. His obsession: prevent agribusiness industrialists, who are fond of assembly-line produced almond paste, pulled sugar or unleavened artificial flowers, from taking over the whole pastry decoration market.
A very delicate process :What gives Deliflor's exceptional know-how, is the alchemy of an ancestral recipe and a very original, patented technology: instant crystallization. In the industrial "garden", the company "grows" 10,000 crystallized flowers a day, all unique, with their original form and taste qualities preserved thanks to natural food additives. The raw materials are picked in the most beautiful flower reserve in the world: Grasse, in the sunny South of France. Of course, no chemical products spoil the rose, violet or jasmine petals.
Flower pastry decorations all year round :As chocolate provides a universal gastronomic touch to birthday cakes, "flower" ingredients are increasingly nourishing the pastry professionals' creativity. It is a real pleasure for eyes and taste buds, whatever the occasion. That little jasmine flower delivering its exquisitely fine flavor, when the white frosty coating slowly melts in the mouth. There is no mystery to why foreigners relish it so much, as the Chinese were the first to cook candied rosebuds and the Indians the first to taste rose syrup.
Some new fruity flower flavors :The gustative Flor & Flor range which includes rose, violet and jasmine floral is soon enriched with fruity (orange, lemon, apple) and aromatic (cocoa, coffee and vanilla) flavors.
